Ship Facts: Carnival Valor Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Valor Deck Plans
Carnival Valor - Eastern Caribbean

This being my 9th cruise and traveling with 42 family members, it was the worst ever.

First the good points, liked the pool area, easy to get food for the kids and still be around the pool.

People at the purser desk very friendly.

Shows were good, getting on and off the ship went smoothly.

Buffet, deli, hamburgers, and pizza food very good, but servers very unfriendly, no one knew how to smile.

Now to what I didn't like, our waiter was horrible (can't even give him some good points), the food in the Lincoln dining was tasteless and usually cold. Ordered drinks in the dining room and never got them, last 2 days of the cruise, we finally got 1/3 of the drinks we ordered.

Dining room very crowded, hard to get around, people who sat by the windows had a very hard time getting in and out of their chairs, because trays and a variety of other things were placed in between tables.

Our room was spacious but we thought a train was going through it every 10 minutes, as we were under the Lido deck where they served all the buffet food. Also we didn't have air conditioning even though our son on one side and our daughter on the other side had air. The air-condition man told us that the air goes this way and that way and sometimes you get air and sometimes you don't, who would have known.

Also, 5 of us were playing dollar slots in the casino and winning so we were yelling, a slot attendant came up to us and told us we had to be quiet, never had that happen before, dealers at the tables were awesome.
