Ship Facts: Norwegian Dawn Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Norwegian Dawn Deck Plans
Great Time on The Dawn!
Leaving from Boston, which is within driving distance for us, was wonderful - easy, easy, easy! Drive up, park and on board within a half hour. Staff at the port were friendly and accommodating.

While the seas were rough on our way to Bermuda, the Captain did a wonderful job keeping us safe and we all made the best of it.

Our location of deck 11 was great - close to everything, yet very quiet. The cabin was clean, roomy and comfortable - we really liked the layout. We asked for a foam bed topper - which softened the mattress to our liking.

We found the dining in the Garden Cafe really good, offering a nice selection for a buffet - we had our breakfasts and lunches there.

Went on an omelet kick for the first few days - great omelet chef!

We ate at the Aqua once, but enjoyed the openness of the Venetian dining room more. The food was very good - we each only had 1 entree that we would rate as just 'good'. It might have been just our menu selection - as we did try to order different new things - and found many new favorite dishes.

We did go to La Cucina, an added charge restaurant - it was again, very good, with very attentive staff.

We tried the Blue Lagoon once, and we may have hit it at the wrong time as the service was a bit slow - but the wings and burgers were great.

We never made reservations - and only had 1 time where we had to wait before being seated.

The monitors showing how busy each restaurant was were very helpful.

We went to the shows in the Stardust Theater - great comedian (we nicknamed him 'Q'). The other shows had tons of talent in them - very enjoyable. The seating in the theater is very comfortable with plenty of room. Cruise director Paul was very funny - good fun! Wish we had made it to more of the game-style shows - next time...

The casino was a good size - had a great time at a CC slot pull and even learned how to play some table games with the help of the staff.

Pool area was nice - the hot tubs were even better!

Bermuda was nice - the weather was in the 70s - perfect. Enjoyed a dockyard live band show one night. I do wish we had arrived a bit earlier than 11am on Sunday - in order to get a full day in. Traveling around the island was a breeze with the bus and ferry passes. Made it to the Aquarium and Crystal Caves with the directional help of very friendly locals.

We just loved the freestyle aspect of this cruise - already looking to book another on the Dawn!

NCL - Please always sail out of Boston - with the Dawn!
