I have been on several other cruise lines and was told about Royal Caribbean being so nice, I will review my experience as follows:
Inside Promenade view was as expected room ok, always smaller than you would like, boarding ship and leaving OK!
Food: Not very good, not even fresh ,hours of availability poor, a room service a fee after midnight, only a small and mean small selection of food after hours in a snack shop in promenade drinks served---( water and coffee)-- Yes only water and coffee to drink(hot tea too)- if you wanted to drink lemonade or mystery drink of day fruit punch or strawberry kiwi had to walk to back of ship and staff prepared drink for you- ice always melted and diluted drinks- no food or drinks near pools( except pay/purchased beverages) Bottled water yes bottled water was a charge! Chops restaurant horrible-$30 each up-charge you can order fillet any time from regular dining for an add of $14.95 same steak half the price? Chops-the worse up charge meal I have ever had. This cruise the worst experience ever with food quality and availability. C-
This was rather disappointing especially since being referred to royal carib.
Shows: Ice skating was a good show but 3000 passengers 800 seating only way to see is arrive early and wait 30 min prior to show-- make more shows available!
One comedian cut short to 30 min bit he was great but only one and only one 30 min show. this was a 8 day cruise the comedian was on ship for three more days with absolutely no more appearances- good gig for him! Other shows stuff give a C for quality and availability.
Reading back I was disappointed in entertainment and food quality/availability. The Windjammer was often closed to one side only, tacos one day and line 35' long-ice cream machine always needed more ice cream and have to wait to get cold-- Our dinner staff was great, room Stuart average,ship had wear and tear and hardly seen staff cleaning Princess and Carnival cleaned ship all night long
smoking on ship could be better Casino should be smoke free it was busy on formal nights because it was smoke free FYI
