We were a family of four; 2 adults and 2 children, 10 and 13. We were also first-time cruisers, so didn't really know what to expect.
The Ship: Magnificent is an understatement. Even though it is large, you are never overwhelmed by her. Our choice of Deck 7 seemed to be the best compromise between the swimming / kids programs / sports facilities on the upper decks and the theatre / promenade / dining on the lower decks. You don't want to use the elevators to work off all the food.(more on that later) There was an army of cleaning staff constantly sprucing up the ship. All the crew seemed friendly and helpful. Maps were stationed near the elevators to keep you from getting lost.
The room: Never got lost in it!! We had a balcony, and that I highly recommend. With the 4 of us, it was pretty tight once the sofa was turned down, but didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. Bathroom was small but enough for what we needed. They use every nook for storage. The attendant kept everything neat and clean all the time. Just watch for the towel animals they make up. I wish I could put pictures of them on here; the snake, monkey elephant and stingray were really wonderful.
