Let me start by saying this is our second cruise on the spirit. The first was spring break 2011 which we joined a group of 13 other family members. This cruise was my wife and our two boys age 3 & 5. Our cruise date this trip was 12/11/11 thru 12/18/11.

We arrived at the cruise terminal around 11:00 and waited in line for the port to open for parking. The Spirit was in port with the Carnival Conquest. We were parked and in the port by 11:45 and on the ship by 12:00. We went to the buffet to eat and after lunch our room was ready. Our room may have been ready before lunch, we didn't check. We went and signed our kids up for Kids Crew and took a nap. We then took the boys to Kids Crew and went to eat in Windows. It took about 1 1/2 hours for dinner that night for my wife and I. That was the worst part of the cruise for us. We did not go back to Windows for dinner again.

Monday was a sea day and we mainly stayed around the kids pool. FYI, a bucket of 6 Corona's is approx $28 tip included. We had dinner in the Garden Room the remainder of the cruise. Our 3 year old did not want to go to Kids Crew after the first night, even though he had a great time while he was there. I think its a 3 year old thing. Our 5 year old didn't want to leave Kids Crew. So he joined us for dinner until the last 2 nights when I figured out how to get him into kids crew without screaming! It was no problem for the dining room to accommodate him.

Decent size for us and our 2 young children. We don't spend much time in there anyway, mainly just showers and sleep and it did those things perfectly!
