A Memorable Cruise
To write a review on this cruise is easy , making you understand is what is a bit more tricky !

My Wife and Myself have cruised on a few different cruise lines , some with our children an some with out .. this one was with our Daughter whom turned 7 while on the cruise, Her birthday was the same day we where in Disney ... from the moment we started planning this cruise it was revolved around December 14Th ... which led to the unexpected .. for friends of ours who's daughter is in the same class as ours booked on the cruise also ... so they could one , Experience there first cruise ever .. and two .. to be able to share in our daughters birthday .. yet to add to that .. Then Grand-Mother and her Friend also wanted to share in the moment so they too booked there cruise ( actually My Mother handed her credit card to my wife and asked her to handle it .. LOL ) ... OK so now to go from there .. the Port of Baltimore was a breeze to get to . and because we had VIP check in it made it that much easier once we got there !

The Carnival Pride is a Nice Ship ... yet we could definitely tell the difference being we have been on some Bigger Cruise Ships , yet for our newbie cruisers it was a good size to start off with , by the second to third day they had no trouble finding there way around .

The staff was very polite and courteous ... always greeting us with a smile , I have read other reviews where some bash on the staff ... we however have nothing but good to say ... not to say some where not as motivated then others ... but then again whom here can say they are at there cheeriest when working 10 and 16 hour days 7 days a week .

The decor on the ship is unique in it's on way ... some may like it , others not .. if not then book on another ship .. we didn't find it offensive and actually paid it little mind ... we admired it ... we didn't dissect it .

The food was what we expected , and there was plenty of it .. a few nights where better then others .. but that is to be expected when you are preparing 2000 plus meals a night ... Highly Recommend David's Steak House

The hot tubs could have been a little hotter , coming from 35 to 40 degree weather , you could have stuck me in a boiling pot and it may have not been hot enough ... but that's just me .. lol

O and the big one everyone was warning us about ... being we where on the 8TH deck ( cabin 8273 ) the Serenity Lounge was right above us ... yes one mornings we did hear them moving chairs around ... but one call to Guess Services put a hold on that ,,, at least till 9 AM which we considered a fair compromise ... not sure what else I can review on ... the spa was nice ... even thou we only worked out one day ... the Cruise Critic ... Meet & Mingle never really worked out being carnival double posted it ... and the on e day we stopped by they where giving a lecture ... RCL has it down pat ... So Carnival definitely needs to work on that !

All in All it was a Great Cruise with Marvelous Friends and Family ,,, I would Highly recommend every one trying it once ... like the saying goes ... if you love the first one .. you will cruise forever ... both our newbies are already talking about the next one with us ... but RCL next time ... perhaps the Explorer out of Cape Liberty
