Sail Date: Dec 2010
Cabin: Cove Balcony

This ship is impressive at first entrance, and lots of areas to explore. The rooms are configured in such a way as to max the space and the "cove" balconies are the best. Having said that, it was downhill from there.

Other than our room steward the staff was mediocre and all in all compared to other cruises lack of service prevailed. Food in the Southern Lights Dining room was either over or under done in most cases and one meal resulted in sickness. Service was slow although the staff seemed to be working at top speed. Maybe too many guest per server? At breakfast the Eggs Benedict were cold and when I told the server why it was uneaten his reply was "guess we should throw the cook overboard".

Although this was our fourth cruise with Carnival it will be our last. While my husband and I are not demanding or picky we felt this cruise was a total miss and not enjoyable at all and certainly would not recommend this ship.

Cabin Review

Cove Balcony

Lots of closet space, bathroom was comfortable in size with plenty of shelf space. I especially liked the hair dryer in the dressing area which freed up the bathroom.

On occasion we were awakened by noise from the galley above and the last night was extremely noisy. Loved the cove balcony with the privacy it provided as well as wind protection and being located mid ship on the second floor was very convenient.
