We booked this cruise to experience the cove balcony. I must say, this room was absolutely the best part of this entire cruise. The room was very spacious, lots of storage and space to move about, absolutely great balcony!!. It was awesome to be so close to the water and to hear the wake when the door was opened. The balcony was very quiet and private. Morning coffee on the balcony was great! Our room steward was great.I've never wanted to stay in the room so much during a cruise.
This will be my last cruise with carnival. The ship was not well laid out. Too much chrome and colored lights. Too many kids in the hot tubs. Lots of rocking of the ship while cruising.
This was absolutely the most boring cruise I have ever been on. I think the lack of activities was due to the cruise directors lack of experience. If you call library time, twilight golf, Texas hold em players meet, friends of Dorothy, bingo and trivia fun activities, then you will be in for a good time. There was not much to do in the evenings, not much entertainment, clubs were empty, hot tubs were full of kids, and the only thing to snack on was pizza. They seriously need to get some one in charge of learning how to keep people entertained.
Food was so so. The selections in the Lido were very limited. Lunch was only opened from 12 to 230 and the lido buffet was packed with long lines and rude people cutting in front of you. We had the My Time dining, we were always seated in a corner, service was slow, food was just so so, nothing exceptional. Room service was late every morning.
Not much in the way of adult pools, in fact, an adult pool did not exist. Children overloaded all of the pools and hot tubs. It was disappointing that that there was not an adult pool area. The Serenity area had 2 hot tubs, all of the chairs were always taken.
Adios Carnival!!
