Azura Cruise Review by diane thomas: Caribbean delight

Following 8 hour thomascook flight on seats NOT SUITABLE for LONG HAUL, p&o should sort this out!Embarkation well organised and quick, cases arrived at cabin within 2 hours. The ship was large but soon found our way around, inside cabin plenty of space, tea&coffee a plus, hairdryer too, joris cabin housekeeper, pleasant kept room clean and not noisey. Some people did reserve sunbeds several annoucements were made, it was mainly the elderly passengers i found!! there where still enough for everyone thou.
Entertainment headliners were excellent 3 shows a night when they performed, did not watch other acts in the playhouse. Tribute acts poor but still had a good time singing along, deck parties we enjoyed dancing under full moon in the caribbean what a life!
Food in oriental only ok,sat on table for 6 good company, buffet limited choice at breakfast and lunch, crowded some days. Seventeen and Sindu excellent, only had a drink in glass house. Drinks reasonable prices and More no 15% on top like many other cruise lines, cocktail of the day £3, beer £3, wine large glass £5.
Staff friendly polite, it was left to you how much you tipped staff unless free dining. Didn,t join in any activities, football in Brodies bar is great always packed good banter, not for everyone i know. My husband went to the gym several times always full but managed to use equipement ok.
Shore excursions we just jumped in a taxi with others, usually $20 tour of island, ship excursions expensive and as we have been twice before we knew what to do.
Disembarkation again well organised you only have to put 1 suitcase out early evening night before the other one when you return to cabin so you could pack clothes away put case out, the next time you see cases is back in Britain, you hope!We enjoyed this cruise maybe the best we have been on so far, direct flights to port a real bonus. celebrity ar excellent but not direct to anywhere!
