Reading RC's cruise line policies is very put offing. It is all so negative but I put that thought aside and hoped they were more friendly than the written policies sounded. Upon entering our stateroom the tv was on and showing a video stating that if you were found violating any of their policies they would possibly evict you from the ship. The video emphasized their absolutely no bring alcohol on board and that they reserved the right to inspect your mouthwash and any liquids and all luggage.

The real kicker was that they specifically asked that if you saw any passenger violating any of these policies you were to report them to the ship's crew.

You got the feeling your every move was going to be spied upon. This left an extremely bad impression of RC. We were sorry we had booked this cruise.

We found the ship itself to be quite lovely. After 2 or 3 days the cruise director and staff had made one feel at home and overcame the extremely negative attitude of RC corporate policies and published statements.

We have been to Cozumel so many times, we didn't do much there.

It has been a while since we were in Costa Maya and we were surprised to see the improvements. They are developing a beautiful area just beyond the shops that surround the pier area. This is worth a walk, lovely statuary and landscaping. Most of the area is still being developed.

Cabin review: Large Ocean View Stateroom

F3502
We were in 3502 on the RC Jewel of Sea. Cabins are small, Bathroom ok, but the Shower would not accommodate a really large person, as it has doors that fold in a half round and you cannot bend over in the shower.Closet space is typical of cruise ships, but it had more hangars than any cabin we have had. The safe operates with any code you input rather than using a credit card. This cabin is at the front of the ship and convenient for the Theatre, but the restaurants are aft so they are not convenient.
