We made our drive from Ohio and when we arrived in Tampa the weather was perfect, sunny and warm. We checked into the Holiday Inn Rocky Point which I had choosen from previous great reviews I read. The hotel is really nice, on the water and was a great deal as it included free parking while we cruised and shuttle service. I highly recommend staying here. We arrived early afternoon and went to Whiskey Joes for lunch. Great place on the water and the food was good. Later that night we went to the Bahama Breeze which is right next to the hotel. We just had drinks and an appetizer there. Another nice place on the water. The next day our shuttle arrived and took us to the ship terminal.

Embarkment was a breeze. The shuttle dropped us off and we gave our luggage to the baggage handler. When we got to the line to get our sign and sail cards i was a little concerned as the line was pretty long. Thankfully the line moved much quicker than i expected and before we knew it we were stepping into the Legend lobby. Wow! She is a beauty! Yes the decor is dark and there are urns everywhere but i liked it and it was put together well. So up to Lido we went to the Unicorn Cafe for lunch. I noticed the lido pool area was divided and each had its own pool and hot tub. Plus i knew there was another pool and hot tub on the Serenity deck so im thinking there will be more than enough hot tubs to not have to worry about getting to use one.

Our bags were brought to our room 7138 at a reasonable time and the room was ready promptly at 1:30pm. We are off to a good start. We went to deck 2 for the muster drill and were one of the first to arrive. While waiting there was a terrible sewage smell, i figure they are pumping the sewage, they got to do it sometime. The time to start the muster drill was here and people were still piling in. A man next to us was asked to set his beer down by the rail as there was no alch. beverages during muster. He did as he was asked but all the people who were arriving late to muster got to keep their beers in hand. By the time we started the deck was over crowded, we were crammed up against the wall and it smelled awful. Muster was over before too long and we were back to lido for a Fun Ship beverage. The rest of my review will be in categories.
