We arrived in New Orleans on Sunday night after driving from Nashville. The weather was not cooperating very much, but we made it with no incidents. We had dinner at the House of Blues on Bourbon St. Sunday night. They have really good coleslaw slaw and I don't like coleslaw very much.
We chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Superdome for their cruise parking that was included in the room price. Paid $115 before taxes. Their shuttle did round trip to the French Quarter's on Sunday night and had drop off at the ship. We left the hotel about 11:00 and were on the ship by 12:30. Check in was the smoothest of any ship we have been on.
Cabins were ready at 1:45. It was good to get in out of the cold. It was about 45 and raining on and off when we left. One bad things, I guess they don't plan on needing heat in the cabins. We turned the fan off and it was still pretty cold in there.
Room seemed bigger than on the Glory and Valor. small closet no blow dryer That was my wives only complaint. good view. light blocking curtains. No noise from dining room above and elevators nearby.
