We flew into Fort Lauderdale two days prior to our cruise. We stayed at the Hilton Marina. We enjoyed this hotel. Very convenient with the water taxi right on site. Many restaurants within walking distance.
Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at the port around 10:30. Check in was very quick. We waited about 30 minutes prior to being able to board. We wandered around the ship. Amazed at its size, and everything it has to offer!
We decided to try MTD on this cruise. We liked the option of not having to go to the dining room every night, without having to tell table mates about it. We ate there just twice, both were enjoyable. Good food and service. We also ate at Chops and Samba Grill. Excellent venues, can't wait to go again.
We enjoyed our sea days around the pool. Always able to find two chairs together. The zip line was one of the highlights of the cruise for me. We also tried out the carousel. We saw the diving show, Blue Planet, and the ice show. All of them were amazing.
We stopped in Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Marten. We stayed on board in Nassau - best choice for us. We were able to enjoy an empty ship.
In St. Thomas we took the ships excursion to St. John. This was the best day of the week for us. Trunk Bay is absolutely gorgeous. The crew on the boat over to St. John was amazing. Highly recommend this excursion.
St. Marten we decided to walk around the downtown area and shop.
Disembarkation was a little behind. We were well informed of the delays, but it was a little chaotic in the theater waiting for our number to be called.
We look forward to sailing on the Allure again one day. Staff and service were great as always.
