We knew nothing about Malaga, Spain where the Adventure of the Seas was departing from and wished we had more than the one full day and two half days prior to sailing. Malaga is a beautiful city, people are very nice and there is so much to see and do. We did the Hop On & Off Bus Tour which was perfect. Stayed at the MS Maestranza right beside the Bullring and it was great. Everything is within walking distance, the hotel is excellent value for the money and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Embarkation went smoothly and we had lunch and were in our cabins by 1:00. The ship is very well kept however, some decor is a little dated and the balconies are showing some signs of rust, overall though it is beautiful. Cabins are roomy, lots of storage and even though another review said there was no shampoo there is a decanter on the wall of the shower. Our cabin steward Bibi was a wonderful girl and made sure the room was always spotless with very creative towel animals to greet us at bedtime. Her greetings and big smile everyday in the hall couldn't help but make you smile!
The food was very good in all venues, including room service. We had My Time Dining however after the first evening requested a table in Roland's section each night because he did such an awesome job. He is one of the best waiters we've ever had and his assistant German was always there with whatever we needed.
