This was our 5th cruise, 3rd on RCI and 2nd on Enchantment. We originally sailed on Enchantment for a 4 day Western Caribbean in Feb 2007 and loved it so we were excited to cruise on her again. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Embarkation in Baltimore went smoothly. From the time we were dropped off until we sat down in the Windjammer for lunch took a total of 45 minutes. At 1:30 our room was ready. The Junior Suite is very roomy for 2 people. The bed although not the most comfortable did the job. The pillows were thin so we asked our room steward "D" who was excellent for a couple more and they were delivered. The "stripper pole" at the end of the bed was no problem but during our 2-day transit from Baltimore we had some 18 foot seas and it creaked very loudly. As we looked closer at the top of it we noticed some rubber had been crammed in the crack between the top of the pole and the ceiling, we moved the rubber around and the creaking stopped. It was obvious there had already been some jurry rigging done previously. I'm not sure if it is an issue in all the Junior Suites or not.

The entertainment left alot to be desired. It seemed to be tailored for a much older audience. There was one very good comedian. But that only ate up an hour. The carpeting etc is in need of replacement. There is quite a bit of running/surface rust throughout the weatherdecks. There was actually a spot that was corroded through on our balcony. Dining for the most part was as to be expected. We ate most nights in the My Fair Lady Diningroom. At one point I got very sick for the entire night and I believe it was food poisoning since I was the only one at our table that ate what I ate. Our waiter Hansraj was excellent. We did eat at Chops Grill once and it is well worth the $30 a head.

The ports were OK. In San Juan I didn't leave the ship since that was the night I was recovering from my food poisoning. In St Thomas we jumped on the ferry ($6) and went to St John. We took a taxi ($10) to Trunk Bay and I would recommend trying it. Our next stop was Samana DR and I have no idea why ships stop here. I will never go ashore there again. Our final stop was the highlight of the cruise Labadee. It is an amazing place. RCI has done a wonderful job with their private island. We were traveling with a family that was in the Royal Suite so we tagged along with them to Barefoot Beach where they had rented a cabana on the water. We floated and sipped Mai Tais the entire day. We didn't want to leave. RCI should have an overnight stay there with bonfires etc. We then headed back to sea for another 2-day transit to Baltimore.

Lots of space. Plenty of storage. Nice bathroom with a good sized tub. Some noise from the pool deck.
