After reading so many reviews leading up to our cruise, November 26th sailing, I thought it was only appropriate to leave a review. No hotel, we live close to the port. Boarding was smooth, the guys taking the security pictures were a little pushy with the kids. We were in the cabin at 1:30pm.
Our cabin on the Lido deck was surprisingly quiet, compared to other cruises. The interior cabin was small, I think as the kids get bigger the interior gets smaller! It was nice to have quick access to the pools and The Gathering. We enjoyed watching the movies at night on the Lido...pack warm clothes as it gets chilly in the evenings.
We ate "your time dining" and managed to eat the dining room 5 nights. No lines and service was good. The food was ok...but who goes on a cruise for the food! We tried the dining room for lunch during one of the sea days, not impressed; we waited forever for our food, it was cold. All other meals we had were in The Gathering. Lines were not too bad. The pasta bar, wok, and omelette station were our favorites.
The kids did Camp Carnival a couple of hours during the sea days and seemed to enjoy it. The water slides were a big hit with the kids. We all enjoyed the Comedy Club and the one show (8 Seconds) that we saw.
I loved the ports, see port reviews.
I was shocked to see so many pushy, complaining ADULTS on board; kids were better behaved! A cruise ship with 4000+ people is not a 5 star resort people!
Overall a great cruise and can't wait to cruise the Dream again.
