Magic not so magical.
Just got off Magic and we were very disappointed. Magic will not be an option for us again. There were several things we noted in comparison to other cruises. One thing for sure is that the staff and crew need some major help in the energy and enthusiasm department. They seemed overworked, depressed and zombie-like on occasion. Perhaps they partied too much at 4am as was stated by one worker.
The food was OK but it didn't send us over the top except for the steak house. Many times when we went for food the place had shut down for the day/night.
Bathrooms are few and far between and aren't easy to find sometimes. Some are very small not leaving much moving room.
Although other ships ported at Grand Cayman, we couldn't. We turned back and headed for Cozumel but still didn't get more time once there besides arriving an hour sooner.
The ship is bigger but not spacier. Leaving the ship for ports seemed more chaotic than we recall from past cruises. More
Jamaica needs to be removed as a port of call. It's nasty, drug-ridden and the nonchalant staff wherever you go is below par. Negril-Margaritaville was ridiculous. Drugs were offered more than once and they did nothing about the nudity even though children were there with their families. We've lost nothing in Jamaica!!
I'll just sum it up in the words of my husband...."This ship needs an enema!"
Overall the cruise could have been better but having awesome friends with us made it unforgettable! Less

Cabin review: Carnival Magic Balcony Verandah 8309
The cabin was ok although you could hear the neighbors often. The bed and pillows were horrible. The beds were hard and the pillows too soft.
