I am not to sure if this cruise was worth the money for a Penthouse. Especially when there are very rough seas, the higher up you are the more swaying and banging you hear, so if you are a light sleeper like I am, NO sleep during rough seas. LOL my husband said they should have seat belts for the toilet, seriously there was a lot of movement. But we were told the reason it was so much swaying, is because we were on the 9th deck, and the higher up the more movement. But it is not NCL's fault for the bad weather. If we were to ever take a cruise again, we would go to lower deck, but no penthouses down there :(
So the first day, went very smooth, they check you in in a VIP area, at Miami Port, within 10 min we were escorted to the Ship, and brought to Cagney's (food was OK). Then at around 2pm an announcement that staterooms were ready so away we went. Our Penthouse was really spacious, and deck was huge. (Shower in 9275 has some tiles that look very brown and stained near the bottom, so it made it look dirty)
We received little treats everyday around 4:30pm, and towel animals every night.
Ate at Le Bistro, the food was OK, but I was first served someone else's meal. But the waiter noticed his mistake, and removed it right away. The waitress seemed to get upset with him, maybe it was not his job to serve tables?
Got room service for breakfast for the first two mornings, served by the Butler, the only time we seen him.
The cheap sparkling wine they give you for the sail away, is really bad, we couldn't drink it, it went to vinegar or something!
Freeport is industrial, but we went to swim with the Dolphins, wonderful experience. Nassau we just went to Atlantis and see the Dig, then we walked around the shops in Nassau. Third day people that were on Great Stirup Cay was evacuated, and brought back to the Ship because of rough seas. So much for swimming!
All in all food was just OK, could of been a lot better.
The cabin Steward Michael was the most friendly of all the Team, even though he was busy he stopped for a min and talked to us, he kept our room spotless.
I really don't think we would ever cruise with NCL again, maybe another cruise line, but not NCL. Maybe our expectations were to high.
But for 979.00/person for 4 days, think I could do better somewhere else.
