We had never cruised before. So we were very curious how it is to cruise with your vacation. We had decided already in june 2011 to go with the Norwegian Pearl. Reason of this was the good price and the Freestyle Cruising. As we wanted to do this in one time perfect we decided to book a penthouse suite with buttler/concierge-service. And this was the best choice what we could made. This was really excellent, from day 1 to day 8. The emberkation in Miami was perfect with the VIP-service. In a few minutes we were already checked in (and it was very busy as the Americans had the thankgivings-holiday!). The concierge took us first to the restaurant where we had a very good lunch. At 2 pm we could visit our Penthouse-suiteroom. WOW!!! It was amazing. Its big with a big balcony. It was so luxurios! Bathroom is big and beautiful. Bed is mmmmm....so good to sleep. And the coffeemaker...wow! And ofcourse the buttler-service. Every day at 4pm nice cakes or nippings etc. And every evening our bed was prepared and also new towels in the bathroom (like every morning). Jefrey our buttler was really good, we miss him every day here back in the Netherlands ;-). One thing, the room was not really clean the first day. But after speaking with Jefrey the room was cleaned and every day we enjoyed our clean room.

Food on this ship is perfect. You can visit the buffetrestaurants or the other restaurants. Every day we had the best food and whine! We visited also the teriyaki. This is 25 dollars extra, but by our opinion not price worth. The staff of the boat is very friendly and helpfull. Only staff we didn't like was the photo-shop-staff. Very unfriendly, they are only waiting for your money. The boat is very clean. I visited a lot of toilets, but every time it was clean. Swimmingpool is busy and very noisy. So if you dont like this you have to go to another parts of the boat.

Trips to the islands were very good. We enjoyed Jamaica as most. Bahamas is only the beach, Cayman-Island is nice (we visited the turttle-farm, very nice!!!). We went horseback-riding on Cozumel. If you are doing this please be aware about the long trip to go to this farm. It is an open bus and the road is really bad. On member of our bus was very sick and she alsmost died by this trip. It was scarry to do this bustrip. But the horsebackriding made it worth, very nice and very amusing to do this. So we can only say, this trip was excellent!! Read more
