Cabin: Concierge Class

We booked late for our cruise to Alaska so had to select either a cabin they couldn't sell,or pay the extra money for concierge class. We chose the latter - big mistake!. Our cabin 9121 is below a balcony where chairs and tables are being scraped across all day. It was the noisiest cabin I've been in on a cruise.Concierge service gives you almost nothing more than regular service. The "hor d'oeurves" were little pieces of melba toast with some bland goo on them.

The ship is too old. There are signs of wear all over. Chairs in the main dining room are falling apart. I complained to a waiter about my chair because it was broken- he did not find me another one- so I had to select the least defective of three other chairs. When people were walking next to the table the floor sagged. There was a horrible noise coming from the engines when we were dining. The food in the main dining room was the worst we've had on a cruise ship.

good points, generally the staff was very nice and the managers, including the captain would mingle with the guests. The entertainment was excellent-including the cruise director. Kudos to the beautiful latin band. The cafeteria food was way better than the dining room food.

Concierge Class

Cabin C1

9121 very noisy, under a veranda with people waking back and forth and tables and chairs scraping against steel. Concierge class only worth about 20$ more (the price of the bottle of wine that is provided).
