Ship Facts: Sapphire Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Sapphire Princess Deck Plans
Princess perfect
My sister and I have been on many cruises. royal caribbean, celebrity, costa, norwegian, and thompson and can honestly say princess cruises on the sapphire princess matched and in some cases surpassed all of them. We did a 3 night Las Vegas,3 night Los Angeles, 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise, and ended with 3 nights San Francisco. The cruise in between was perfect for relaxing and chilling out.

We had a balcony cabin with half the balcony under cover and half out in the open with 2 recliner chairs,2 sitting chairs and a table,we spent a lot of the time reading sunbathing and sailing on the ocean is so therapeutic.

We didn't get off at Ensenada or the first day at Cabo but got off 2nd day. This was by tender but even though I'm 73 I managed fine with help from the crew who were on hand to keep everybody safe getting on and off.

We opted for anytime dining as we didn't want to be tied down to set times for meals and just wanted to eat when we felt like it not when we had to. The first option was the Horizon on deck 14 and enjoyed it so much we opted to go there for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we did choose to dress up for dinner and so did lots of others. As a very fussy eater I was delighted with the choice and selection of food, there was such foods as poached salmon, trout, steaks, chicken, pastas, and these were prepared differently every night and choices of different rice dishes and potato dishes and good selection of vegetables and about 6 or 7 different types of bread and bread rolls also a different carved meat every night. Breakfast and lunches were every bit as good with big selection of cereals and egg dishes ,even smoked salmon and cream cheese as well as standard bacon, sausages etc. Lunches were great too.Nearly forgot to mention the selection of cakes, gateaux, pastries, fruit and the best carrot cake i've ever tasted. We had to compliment the chef we were so happy with the food. The only downside is it's now strict diet time.

Staff were brilliant and we happily left extra tips as the service was excellent. Our next cruise will be with Princess cruises and preferably with Sapphire.
