Cabin: Junior Suite with Balcony

This was a first cruise for my husband and myself, so our hopes and expectations were high. Not only were those hopes met, they were exceeded by the wonderful staff and the beautiful ship.

We sailed with our daughter and her best friend, both high functioning autistic adults. We had a junior suite, and the young women had a large interior across the hall from us. We were able to get them spare keys, so they had access to our cabin, with the lovely balcony and the refrigerator.

Enchantment is well maintained; an elegant grand dame of a hotel. Our room had the infamous pole, but it in no way detracted from the cabin, and was handy to grab on to when the waves were more active. We spent a lot of time on our balcony, and had no problems with smoke drifting our way. But it was the staff who made our stay especially wonderful. From Martin, our cabin steward, who made sure that everyone was happy and our cabins were perfect, to Justin, our waiter, who served up wonderfully prepared food with a smile. Our wait- and kitchen staff even brewed up herbal iced tea for me every night. Every staff person we dealt with was friendly and helpful.

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

Lots of storage. About the size of a standard hotel room, with a nice balcony. Large closet, though I don't think it was much larger than the closet in the large interior my daughter stayed in. Some minor noise from the Solarium above (moving tables and chairs), but I slept through it most nights. Other than that the cabin was pretty soundproof.

The bathroom was much larger than the one in the large interior, but still small. It was easier to dress in the main cabin.

It has the infamous pole at the foot of the bed, but that in no way detracted from the room and was handy to grab onto when the ship was moving.
