The Best Ship

Sail Date: November 2011
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

The Epic was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days aboard the Epic.

Embarkation was easy. Arrived at the terminal around 11:00 and was on board by 11:45.

Cabin was BA 12117 with a large balcony that had to chairs, cover over top and complete privacy on both sides. The room was accommodating for my wife and I and our 11 year old. Plenty of storage for the three of us. We had no problems with using the sink or bathroom. My wife was glad to see that the air conditioning worked well and never had to use her fan.

Dining was awesome! We only ate at one speciality restaurant Moderno, which should not be missed. All other evenings we ate in either Manhattan or Taste. Both restaurants were outstanding. The servers were attentive and friendly. The Garden Cafe had a variety of stations to select from and the food was very good.

The entertainment was great. We saw the Blue Man Group, Slim Time Live, Dueling Piano players, Magic/Comedian (Jeff Hobson). We More visited Spice H2o, and Bliss for dancing, and the Casino.. We watched several movies on the big screen at O'Sheehan's including Thursday night football.

Adding to some of our highlights we purchased a Posh pass for the week and spa passes as well. The fitness center is state of the art and was never overly busy.

We traveled with our neighbors who also have a child the same age. The children loved the kids camp. One even commented after we kept calling and checking on them to not bother them and just pick them up at 6:00. They meet other children and had lots of fun.

The plunge pool (toilet bowl) and other slides were outstanding, we all enjoyed them. Staying on the ship during two other port stops kept us from waiting in lines.

We have already re-booked another cruise on the Epic for Easter Week 2012.

I never got in before 3:00 am and one night we stayed upto 4:30 am. Less

Cabin review: Norwegian Epic Balcony Stateroom Deck 8 12117

Large balcony with two chairs, plenty of room. Overhead and side privacy. Two floors down from childrens area and not far from elevators. Bed was located next to sliders which gave ample room to move around.

Port and Shore Excursions

We took taxi boat to downtown beaches and rented chairs and umbrella for the day. Go down the beach further the chairs and umbrella cost $5 each for the day. We rented chairs that were padded. The vendor got us beer and food.
