Ship Facts: Eurodam Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Eurodam Deck Plans
1st on Holland
This was our first time on HA. After cruising multiple times on on the other lines, we thought it would be more upscale and we were correct.

BOARDING: very fast, from the shuttle drop off to cabin about 15 minutes.

CABIN: we had a smaller inside cabin on Deck 7 FWD, it was very well located for our needs and had room for our stuff. it was very clean.

SERVICE: Outstanding in all areas without being overboard. The staff was always smiling and very happy to do anything or get anything you asked for. They were not constantly bugging you about taking pictures or selling you something. very few overhead announcements.

FOOD: We ate in all the venues, LIDO, good food for the most part but poor design of the buffet area, distance between stations was long and distance between the buffet and seating areas made for tight manuevering when it was busy. buffet is served by staff so that slows things down some, they had trouble keeping hot food hot most of the time.CANNALETO, this is a blocked off area of the lido at night, great service and decent food w/o additional charge.TAMARIND, awesome, no charge at lunch which is a fixed menu,$15 for dinner, you need reservations for either but it is well worth it service and food are exquisite.PINNACLE, We had lunch here, $10 for lunch but our TA gave us a coupon, both service and food were outstanding.MDR, we had anytime dining and always got our requested table for two, no problem. Only one issue with the food on the second formal night. We both ordered the lobster which was served raw and/or undercooked, when it was sent back the next two were the same. This was brought to the attention of the Dining Room mgr. who was very apologetic but it ruined the experience and we ended up in the Lido. they did send a bottle of wine and a written apology to our cabin which was nice. The lamb dishes, fresh squeezed OJ and free cappacino or Espresso and the baked goods are standouts for the dining experience.

ENTERTAINMENT, we really don't do the club scene and the cocktails wer'nt all that great but there is Happy Hour twofers in a couple of the bars. The cimema was great, leather reclining chairs, free popcorn and good recent movies that play about every two hours from 1-11 at night. All the bars were were great to just sit in. free DVDs delivered to your cabin with a good selection.

DISEMBARKATION, we used expedited departure because we could carry all our bags. We were walking off the ship by 740 AM with the only slow down being that Customs only had two agents handling the passenger load, even so, we were on the rental car shuttle by 830. We will definately stick with HA from now on.
