The ship is new and big, but the design is no grand as other mainstreem cruise ships that we have been too. Common areas are very small and crowded. Pools and hot tubs looked small & crowded so we never used them.
The foods were bad on the first day but after that foods were very good. A variety of choices for buffet breakfast, luchn or tea. There were pizza throughout the day. Coffee was bad and there were no juice for lunch, only water and coffee.
Dinners in dinning room were very good. There were special nights such as Italian, Gala nights with special performances by dinning room staff. The atmostphere was very lively and fun.
the shows in general were very nice and entertaining, especially the show where regular staff (such as waiters or stewards) performed. It was execellent. A variety of entertainment at the lounges/bars with dancing (ballroom, rock & roll or Italian style of dancing)
Most cruisers are Italian or non English speaking. So we were assigned at dinner table where people did not speak English. We had to request the change to luckily English speaking people. From then on, dinners were enjoyable.
Overall, Costa provided excellent values for your money. THe ports were very good and easy to explore. I would recommend Costa again.
