We sailed out of San Juan on the Victory. The ship itself was very nice and the majority of the staff was very friendly. Ports of call were amazing and we had a great time just visiting the beaches at each one.
We did one shore excursion during the week which was the Shipwreck Snorkeling and Beach Party in Barbados. While it was a good time, it was certainly less than expected. The shipwreck is a boat (small) that sunk about 60 feet off the beach and they take you out there to snorkel for 30 minutes and the fish variety are few. (Don't let them charge you the extra $5 to go have the turtle experience because it is less than 25 feet away from the shore line and you could swim over there yourself. Luckily, we did not do this.) In Barbados we were constantly hounded by locals trying to sell things.
Our cabin was directly below the Lido deck (I saw another poster in this thread who stayed in the exact cabin we did a couple of months ago) and it could not have been noisier. All day and all night there were chairs scraping. Back and forth, back and forth. It was absolutely miserable. Do not stay in this part of the ship!!
Too noisy. Absolutely miserable. Got no sleep the entire week because of the constant scraping of chairs across the deck above us. Horrible location.
