Sailed on the Dream in the half term break. Amazing quick transfer from the airport and a quick check We had an Outside Plus cabin on deck 7, lot bigger than I had hoped to expect considering there were 3 of us. We were told that the bed's would be setup as a twin but thankfully it was already done as a double.
Real motive for the trip was to get to Rome. But thoroughly enjoyed theoverall experience, stopped in Trapani, Naples, Civtavecchia (Rome), Ajaccio and Palmos before returning to Palma. Weather was a lot better than I had expected with only the last (most Northerly day) in Palmos being poor weather all day. Most days it started off a little cool (for the Med) and then warmed up enough to be swimming in the sea or pool and doing a little sunbathing. We only did two trips, Pompeii and Rome. Been to Pompeii before and was just as interesting second time around. Rome was great we did the Rome and The Colossuem trip (somewhat delayed due to a docking issue), this was a walking tour around the Colossuem and Forum, dropped off near the Trevi Fountain for lunch and a walking tour in the afternoon, it was not to hot that day which was right for Rome, had a wonderful time and we will be back.
Most days we had breakfast in the Sirens, lunch in the Lido and dinner in the Orion. I would say that the food was good but not exceptional. As previous posters have commented the portions are small in the Orion so you do need all the course if you have a good appetite. Bar prices were a lot better than I had expected and we certainly wouldn't have benefited from having the AI option, but having a ten year old daughter we were fairly early to bed. Really enjoyed the shows, didn't like the comedian they had on one night, far too close to the knuckle for a family audience (but maybe I'm old fashioned).
Spacious and comfortable with more than enough room for 3, their clothes and luggage, decor a little dated but so what! Pleased we picked something close enough to a stairwell but not too close.
