I am straining my mind to try to think of anything that could have been better made or run than our entire experience on the Celebrity Equinox. Now, consider that statement in light of the fact that Alitalia lost our luggage and we had only what we were wearing for eight days. Jon Pilling, the ship's concierge, served us as if we were his own family. He and his staff fought for our luggage and ultimately won, after a week of consistent effort. Although it wasn't the ship's fault our luggage was lost they went our of their way to make us feel comfortable at every turn.

The cabin was well-designed. The air conditioning/heat worked well. The bed was somehow more comfortable than my own, which says a lot. The sheets were soft. The mirror didn't even fog up in the bathroom, and there was a bar for a woman to put her foot on as she shaves her legs in the shower. Simply brilliant. The common areas of this vast ship were beautiful, comfortable, and spotless.

The ship's stabilizers were effective. We were comfortable at all times. At each port the disembarkation process went smoothly. The wait staff in the dining room wanted to be absolutely sure that you were satisfied with everything...and we were. Read more
