Having read a mixed bag of reviews on Azura, I was a little aprehensive (more so than normal when travelling down to Southampton). So warts an all what about Azura - Stylish - yes, comfortable yes, layout - confusing - perhaps to those who haven't cruised much before. - Overall a greatfriendly ship.
Boarded at 12:35 -(10 minute wait), cabin available at 14:00, so went up to pool deck, light lunch, couple of drinks, and to the cabin, baggage arrived shortly after 14:30, safety drill at 16:00 sailed 16:30ish.
Down to the detail - space on the ship - loads of it, was able to get seats at all shows with one exception (Manhattan once only), went to the early threatre show - 19:00, then had dinner at 20:30, second fixed seating - great table, thanks to Jacqi and Ric, Rita and Ray, good service from waiters, then 2nd show usually Manhattan or Malibar at 22:30.
Deck space also greatno shortage of sunbeds.
Eating out as it where - Used all three pay resturants - 17 - Fantastic excellent value for money and service - Oily Smiths - good value for money, food not as and good as 17, service also a little slow. Sindhu - A real quandry - Atul Kocher was on board so went to his demo, and bought the deal, unfortunatey no in the eating - the taste of the food sadly only 5/10, service was excellent - Guess I eat too much Asian food at home.Overall a great trip, everything on average 9/10 except for Subdhu
