We drove with friends (4 couples) to Cocoa Beach. We stayed at four points Sheraton were pleased with this hotel.
Embarkation was a little slow due to the Dream being 2 hours behind (we heard a passenger was ill) Once onboard we went lido and eat lunch.
Food - Food in general was good. all buffets we ok. Deli and pasta bar were great. Dining room was good and waiter "dada" was great. The comedian onboard said the Dream was like golden coral and motel six had a baby. I agree that the food was similar to golden coral except for lobster night. The rooms were better than motel six.
We did not stop at Nassau due to a storm which was ok with us. We got a extra day at sea and nassau is a dump anyway.
St. thomas has always been our favorite island with st. maarten a close second. this trip changed our mind. st. thomas used to be our shopping island and st. maarten our beach/excursion island. we feel that st. thomas is getting like nassau (everyone is trying to hussle you to get your money. next time we will go to beach in st. thomas and shop in st. maarten.
debarkation was very easy. we did self assist and were on the road by 7:30 am.
ship - this is a big ship except when parked beside the oasis of the seas. we thought the ship was easy to get around and never got lost. the shows on this ship were the best we have ever seen. I would put "dancing in the streets" up against any show anywhere. this ship does have movement side to side (roll) when going over 20 knts. even in calm seas it rolls. like any ship you get used to it after a little time on the boat.
Crew - we thought they did a great job.
we would go on this cruise again.
