Embarkation at Barangaroo Sydney was a schamozle no clear pa directions nor refreshments supplied. Even though they said embarkation was at noon we didn't get on board till sailing time so needless to say we left late. Would have thought they would have supplied some sort of refreshments.
Booked an early sitting and supplied medical report in support but was wait listed. Told agent, told Princess personally and added it to personaliser. Told to see purser when on board, then told to see maitre d who told me difficult but would look in to it. After many reminders and two weeks in to cruise we moved to early sitting. Then found out off wait staff that table had been vacant since commencement of cruise!!!Purser staff ranged from excellent personal assistance (put in recommendation) to very poor being unhelpful and giving wrong advice.
The cruise: Room was good, serviced twice a day, stewards great. Food was tasty, wide variety,presentation great in both the buffet and More
restaurant. Wait staff great helpful, informative and professional.Morning and afternoon were a nice touch.Not a cruise to get an in depth understanding of the port but enough to see if you would like to come back. Cost of Princess excursions over the top (ripping people off from OS) if they had more realistic prices would get more people going. Embarkation at ports not very well organised without clear directions (where to go and which exit)people with disabilities had trouble getting on and off which also slowed everything down when you have little time in port.They ask for you to fill in an assessment of the cruise and promote it heavily. I filled one in with the good and bad but the feedback has been deafening.
Would i recommend you go with princess, I will wait to see if i get a reply to my assessment. Less
