We just got back from a week on the Victory! There were 6 of us and we had a great time. From the time we set foot on the ship it was pamper, pamper, pamper. The staff is remarkable. Thom from Indonesia was our head waiter. He was phonenominal! Every wait staff as well as all of the dining room staff served us with professionalism and care! No request was denied and they went out of their way to have things just as we wanted them.
Our room steward (Hennri) was also very professional. He worked diligently to make sure that every need was accommodated. He cleaned our room 2 times daily, gave us ice 2 times a day and made towel animals and left chocolate every night. What a true delight!
I have read reviews that were somewhat negative about the Victory. Nothing can be further from the truth. True, the ship is a little older, but she is polished up like a crown jewel.
The ports were fantastic. On Monday, we went to Trunk Bay (from St. Thomas). The undertows were very bad that day, but the bay is so beautiful. The at sea day was very relaxing. On Wednesday we toured with Cameron Reid. Though the roads are winding and up and down hill, Cameron was a very skilled guide. On Thursday, we toured with Frank with Frank's Tours. What a great and fun day. We highly recommend him. Friday, we were supposed to meet someone for a tour, but they were held up, so we shopped at St. Kitts. On Saturday we toured with Lucia for Island Marketing. We saw the island...went to Butterfly Farm and the tour went a little long, but Lucia worked an extra hour so we could have additional beach time. We really appreciated it.
Embarking and Disembarking was a breeze. We got on the ship on Sunday, Nov 6 and were the last off the ship since we had a late flight!
