I booked this cruise back in March. About 2 weeks after I booked, Celebrity offered additional on board credits. Since I had already booked early I was essentially punished by not receiving these credits. We are Captain's Club members and that didn't carry any weight on this. We have taken our last 3 cruises with Celebrity and that was a total of 12 people. I have probably taken my last cruise with Celebrity because of this. That being said, we had a super cruise.
The ship is getting a little tired looking, but Celebrity is refreshing her in January so that shouldn't be a concern. The service was mostly superior, with the exception of lunch in the buffet. There are too few beverage servers and we rarely were able to use our beverage card. The same was true of the buffet for breakfast. I wouldn't recommend buying the soft drink packages unless you have kids that use them a lot. Dinner service and food in the main dining room was top notch though. The food and service at the Normandie, the specialty restaurant, were amazing. I only wish we had eaten there early in the cruise, so I could have booked there a second time. Don't miss it!
We booked a Concierge Class stateroom and I would highly recommend it. Our stateroom attendant was thorough and exceptionally pleasant and the room was spacious. The entertainment on this cruise was easily the best we had on any cruise. I liked the casino, but it didn't seem to get as much play as other cruises that we've been on.
