We thoroughly enjoyed our Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Norwegian Star from October 31 to November 6, 2011.

DINING was excellent. If you must - the buffet provides a large variety, scenic views and good food. However, why anyone would opt to eat in the buffet when the Aqua and Versailles are included in your cruise price is beyond us. The atmosphere in both restaurants is refined and elegant. Wait staff are attentive and eager to please. We also ate in Tappanyaki (food was bland - we've had better - don't recommend) and the Italian restaurant (highly recommend the jazz brunch - excellent food and selection).

PUBLIC ROOMS are nicely appointed. Library provides excellent selection and quiet space. Only complaint would be amount of smoke anywhere around the casino - intolerable.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

cabin 9738 - excellent layout and use of space; loved the bathroom configuration, particularly a door for the shower rather than curtain; lots of shelving and storage; grateful for in-room safe; beds were hard, however, really appreciated the king size bed and double sofa bed - everyone has plenty of room; nicely decorated; very clean and in good repair; greatly appreciated the fridge; TV was older - recommend an update to flat screen; also recommend an ipod dock and alarm clock
