Just returned Saturday 11/5 from our 5 day Destiny cruise. It was myself,my wife and another couple. I will try to give some good feedback here as I have always gotten some good information from CC and appreciate every one's efforts. We flew into Fort Lauderdale on Sunday the day before the cruise. I had pre arranged transportation from SAS transportation, and let me say they were nothing short of great. We stayed at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa that I booked through Priceline. What an amazing place it was beautiful and everyone was very friendly. We used the trolley that stops right at the hotel $1.00 to get down to the Broadwalk for some lunch and just seeing the sights. Had lunch at Nicks right on the beach great food and service. Did some walking around and we were all getting tired so headed back to the hotel and relaxed. The weather was a little rough in Fll so SAS was a little behind picking us up from the hotel to get to the port, they did call me and let me know though which I truly appreciated.

Arrived at the port around 12:15 or so dropped off bags outside, in through customs and check in was a breeze we were on the ship by probably 1:00-1:15 or so.

Rooms weren't quite ready yet so we went up and had a bite to eat and a cocktail and checked out the ship a bit. Heard horror stories about the food lines but have to say through out we never really experienced anything that bad, yes there were sometimes we had a bit of a line but nothing that bad at all. Rooms were ready so we went down to check ours out we had an ocean view (2223) on main deck very roomy with a couch and plenty of closet space. One of the smartest things I did was call room service and ordered 2 bottles of Sky Vodka to make our own cocktails. $45.00 per litre bottle and let me tell you we saved a fortune on our bar bill by doing that. Just poured some in a water bottle and carried around with us to mix. Our luggage didn't arrive until around 5:30 or so much later than usual so unpacked quickly and headed to dinner for early seating.

Cabin Review

Cabin 2223 on main deck, very nice and alot of closet space. Loved having the couch in the room.
