Ship Facts: Explorer of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Explorer of the Seas Deck Plans
The WOW factor

It has been a while since I have posted a review, we cruise a few times a year and exclusively with RC, they have all been very good but on this cruise we had an exceptional time and felt the need to share our experiences.

Bayonne - what a difference since our last cruise from here, we arrived at the port with no traffic back up - pulled right up to check in and were on board in 15 minutes, a welcome improvement.

The Ship - she is still a great ship, although a little worn, which is to be expected from a ship of her age, still beautiful and no deterrent to a good time. We love the Voyager class ships!

The Ports - San Juan, Wish we could have arrived a little sooner and had more time to spend there, we did however venture through town and the forts, weather was great.

ST Thomas - Always a great port.

Samana - not much to do here for us so we stayed aboard and enjoyed some relaxing time by the pools.

Labadee - EXCELLENT! a great time with plenty to do, cant wait to go back!

The Crew - here is what really made our trip and we have to give credit, Captain Loy was excellent, very visible throughout the cruise and extremely sociable, he stopped by and chatted with us at the pool several times, swam with us in Labadee, and always had time to stop and chat whenever we saw him.

Carlos our concierge was even better than the last time we saw him, he made sure everything was perfect for us, even tracked us down and personally took us to events and places to make sure we didn't miss anything, he is definitely our favorite and we cant wait to see him again!

Katrina and Maynard in the lounge were the best we ever had, sociable, funny, and extremely attentive, they made every evening a lot of fun.

Our suite attendant Nicholas - he was simply the best, asked us our needs on the first day and exceeded our expectations at every turn, very personable, always visible and service like no other we have had, we cant say enough about him, he made our trip truly a vacation!

Cameron at the Sky Bar and Alison at the Schooner were also EXCELLENT!

The crew definitely made the trip a great vacation for us and we found this to be a great improvement, we felt compelled to give them the credit they deserve!
