We would like to take this opportunity of congratulating Cunard on the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth, a truly magnificent and majestic ship.
From the moment we embarked to the moment we disembarked it was a sheer joy. We were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic, charming, sincere attitude of all the staff and the phenomenal team spirit
The entertainment on board under the skilful eye of Amanda Reid was again superb. The shows were professionally presented and extremely enjoyable and entertaining. The guest entertainers were brilliant. The speakers were outstandingly good in subject, knowledge and presentation.
The Daily Programme sheets were extremely informative as well the port of call guides. The TV Guide and the content on the TV were excellent.
The Lido was as good as fine dining. From standard roasts to specialities like the Malaysian Laska. It is of the utmost high quality. The cooking staff couldn't be nicer. So helpful, cheerful -â€" it was a pleasure to enjoy the fine dining experience be it Breakfast, Lunch, afternoon tea, Dinner or a snack.
We have always rated Cunard's Alternative Lido Dining as expressed in our previous letters and again the Queen Elizabeth was no exception. We are glad that this year you are charging for the pleasure and privilege. It avoids no shows and over booking. This superb experience was managed by the acting Matre d' Ante and his well trained staff. You could have been in a West End Restaurant because the food and service was so good.
The Verandah was a gastronomic experience. It was comparable to some of the Michelin star Restaurants we have visited if not better. We hope one day that The Verandah does achieve Michelin star status.
It was an absolute delight to dine at The Britannia Restaurant. We were astounded by the superb quality of service and variety of food being served at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Having met Barrie Dodgson, Sales Specialist, on previous voyages we booked another cruise, from Southampton (we are into no flying holidays) on The Queen Victoria in 2012. We appear to be booking two cruises in advance after every trip we do with Cunard's. We have to say by booking on board it is a lot easier, comfortable, price competitive and again Barry's knowledge and service is priceless.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Cunard and their staff yet again on the excellent, attentative and charming service they provide as a company. We are used to Cunard's high standards but we feel generally it has improved this year and reach another level of excellence in many areas.
