This is our first time sailing with NCL and first time to Hawaii. Both were exactly like I had expected. Pride of America was clean, the crew were fun despite the long hours they all put in. The Penthouse Suite we had 11020 was very nice, clean and our stewardess Lynn, was always smiling and very attentive. I had recieved some flowers for my birthday and needed a vase, she couldn't find one from the ship, so she loaned me her personnal vase to use for the rest of the trip. On our last day I gave her the flowers and vase back to enjoy herself. The food was good, our favorites were Lazy J Steak house..(hello Andrew!), the Cadillac Diner,(exceptional malts and brownie sundaes) and the East meets West resturants. We only ate the Aloha buffet once, and it was a typical cruiseline buffet. Our butler Matt was so much fun and he handled all of our reservations for dinner and my spa day and brought us nice horderves every evening. He would visit with us when he had time, and brought me my mimosas everyday. He even brought me the Champagne & orange juice to make our own on the day of my birthday. So thoughtful..thanks Matt! We went to several shows and the comic was one of the best I had seen. The Aloha Polynesian show was fantastic. With being in ports each day, we didn't get to use all the things the ship had to offer, but still met alot of nice people and enjoyed the ship. Never did figure out where everything was and how to get to it easily, we got "lost" at least once a day or more..but eventually found where we wanted to go. The pool was busy and nice, the outside bars were also nice to sit and watch the scenery. Bartenders were always in a good mood. Did some shopping aboard and found some cute souvenirs, but the day to shop is Friday, 50% off most items.

The Hawaiian Islands are all beautiful and full of life. Our days were packed full of adventure from Helicopter rides, snorkeling twice, atv tour, van tours, botanical gardens, beach life, captain zodiak boat ride, the Hula Girl catamaran snorkeling(one of our favorites)..lots of photo's and of course we were lucky and it never rained where we were. The local food was fantastic, stopped at a shrimp hut alongside the coast. The locals were very helpful. Rented 3 cars during the week, well worth it to upgrade to a larger car. Did alot of sightseeing on our own and enjoyed the islands on our own terms. All in all it was a fantastic trip!

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SG

We had the Penthouse Suite 11020, towards the front of the ship on deck 11. The best things I liked about the suite was the most comfortable king sized bed. The balcony was very large with a table 3 chairs and 2 lounge chairs and still had plenty of room to walk around. We ate out there several times from room service which was also nice. Having the Penthouse Suite we were treated to a Butler, who in our case was fun, very attentive and handled alot of our questions. The bathroom was plenty big in size, and always had hot water and clean towels everyday. The dressing room had a place to hang up our clothes and a vanity with a mirror to do makeup and hair. It had a magnifying mirror and a blow dryer. Plenty of drawers to store things in. A T.V that swiveled to any angle in the room. A small desk that came in very handy for all the papers we acquired. The sofa and the glass table with 2 chairs were placed that we still had plenty of room to walk around. I was very happy with the room and all the perks that came along with the suite.
