This was my first cruise and I chose Carnival. The ship was Destiny. It was a 5 night 6 day cruise with 2 ports of call: Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. Two days before the cruise, Carnival called to upgrade my room from a balcony to a suite for an extra $400.

The suite was decent however it needed a few upgrades. The flat screen tv wasn't really worth it because all the shows were in standard definition and definitely not full screen. The shower was awesome with great pressure.

The embarkation process went relatively smoothly and I was on board within 20 minutes.
