Ship Facts: Monarch of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Monarch of the Seas Deck Plans
This was not up to
First of all, I LOVE Royal Caribbean and I am very loyal to them. However, this cruise was not impressive. It began with our stateroom attendant who was obviously not excited to be there. (I have NEVER had anything but enthusiastic attention from ANY crew members on RC before.) I was kind of shocked at this and it really stood out to me.

The entertainment throughout was great as usual. The choice of activities was great. The games and interactive activities that they provided were very entertaining. My aunt did have some drinks and seemed to think everything in that area was fine. (I don't drink, so I can't really evaluate that.) I was very disappointed in the food though. I always tell people that I like Royal Caribbean's food much better than Carnival, but this cruise proved me wrong. We didn't even have a lobster and steak night. (I have had that on 3 night cruises and this one was 4 nights!) When we visited the Windjammer I was shocked to find plates of cookies on display that contained fragments of cookies instead of nice, whole, appealing cookies and snacks. The food was ok and for the first time cruisers at our table...they seemed to think it was fine. I am comparing to other Royal Caribbean cruises and ships and this was sub par in my opinion. I don't plan on going on this cruise ship again, but I will continue to go with Royal Caribbean. I still feel that they are the best we have been on to date.
