We had a 39 day cruise around the British Isle, across the Atlantic by way of Iceland, Greenland, New York and up into Quebec City during August and September 2011. There were many good things I liked and equaly as many things I didn't like. We had our grand daughter with us and she was enrolled in the kids program and it was fantastic. The crew that worked in it were excellent.!! The crew in general were exceptional, very polite, helpful and went out of their way to help the passengers and make the excursion more enjoyable. The Captain was a real person person, a very nice pleasent man who worked hard to make the passengers as comfortable as was possible under all conditions.

The negative things were mostly with food selection and preparation and the entertainment. As for the food, the fish was always overcooked and rather blah. The selection of vegetables did not vary much and the red meats were really quite tastless. To get a real meal we enjoyed the Steak House a few times. There always seemed to me to have a way to many pasta dishes. To me pasta is pasta no matter what you call it or how you dress it up.

As for the entertainment, it was not high class. If you've seen the Princess singers and dancers once , thats enough. The bands in the different bars were great but their repertoire was limited. The one thing that made swimming rather uncomfortable was that both pools were exposed to the weather- no cover in cold weather. The washers and dryers are JUNK and are not at all efficient and should be replaced.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Our cabin was excellent!!! It was close to the stairs and elevators. Laundry was just down the hall. It was quite, clean and comfotable.
