This was our fifth cruise on Carnival and our second on a Spirit class ship. We traveled with another couple and left the kids at home with Grandma.

Embarkation: Arrived at the Queen Mary for early embarkation and within 10 minutes of our arrival we were escorted over to the main terminal. As it turns out we had arrived a little late for the early embarkation and were fortunate when they selected a point of cut off and walked us right up to the security screening. From there we were greeted by a pleasant staff , got our sail and sign, embarkation photo and on the ship. From taxi to cabin took 25 minutes!

Our Cabin: Balcony on Panorama Deck Forward cabin # 8115 (upgraded from 8A to 8H). The cabin was very clean, but showed some signs of wear and tear. Our cabin steward was very pleasant. She kept the ice bucket full all day and always greeted us with a smile and a hello. We ate breakfast in the dining room every day and came back to a clean room every time. Our bed was turned down every night by the time we returned from dinner and of course a towel animal to greet us. We always pack plenty of wine, and were able to enjoy a glass on the balcony while enjoying spectacular sunsets heading south.
