Traveled with children

We stayed at the Vagabond on a sleep and sail. It was a good experience, with donuts available in the morning. If you want a nice place choose elsewhere but it works for us. We even got a repeat customer discount.

We had 2 inside rooms on 5. We were a group of 5 adults, and 2 kids. One of the adults was a newbie. We had kid in Circle C and one in the older group of Camp Carnival. The kids liked their clubs. We gave them more freedom this time to do self checkout, and stay with our guidelines. The first 2 days we kept them on a tighter leash, but realized that they could handle the rules. Our dining room waiter was Sheward, and I have never had better. All the food was wonderful. We enjoyed trying the didja evers and Sheward always brought them to our table as extras. The Lido was great for breakfast. I wish on a Mexican cruise that there would be more Mexican food choices. They had a Mexican buffet one night late, but that was all. We enjoyed the arts and crafts, and the comedy club. The dancing shows were a disappointment also. I have a dance background, and usually this is the first thing I head for, but this time something was missing. This is the first time I have paid any attention to who the CD was and Lesley Sparkles was just OK. She'll probably get better with more practice.

In Ensenada we took a bus into town and then got a tour to La Bufadora. The blow hole was fun to see, but I wouldn't do it again. There are a couple of blocks of pushy vendors that you must walk through both ways. No problem, as I am not much of a shopper. However my nine year old picked up a toy while I watched. The second he touched it, the thing broke. It broke because it had been sitting out in the sun for too long and the rubber band on it was totally dried out. The vendor made me purchase the toy that was worthless even before it broke.
