We just got back from the Golden Princess and were very impressed. The ship's staff can not be complemented enough. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The cabin stewards were excellent. And most of all the shopping coordinator, Cynde, has a huge help in guiding my fiance and I through the process of picking out an engagement ring. I think we have to invite her to the wedding now.
We loved the pool areas, which were plentiful and beautiful. We never had trouble finding a lounge chair, something we have had problems with on other ships. The bars were aplenty and close by and the waiters were also available and not pushy. Best of all drink prices were very reasonable compared to other ships. Cheaper than many drinks here on land!
The ports of call are all beautiful and the ship's shore excursions will allow anyone, regardless of taste, to find something they would like. If you go to St. Thomas be sure to take the ferry ride to St. John, it has the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
