This was our 2nd cruise on Royal Caribbean and we had a GREAT time. The ship was very clean and well maintained. We booked an inside cabin and were able to upgrade to an outside cabin at the pier for an additional $100.00 which we felt was a good deal. We had hoped for a balcony or a suite but there weren't any available. It turned out that the person checking us in was a "friend of a friend" (he was originally from our town in Alabama) and he recommended that we get on a wait list with the purser after the ship set sail for another upgrade in the event that one became available. They said they would call us if indeed we were able to upgrade again. We never received a call, but they did deliver a nice letter to our stateroom explaining that there were no upgrades available. It turned out to be fine with us because the room totally suited our needs. There were 2 of us and there was plenty of storage in the closet and drawers for all of our stuff and then some. The room was very clean.

Alfina was our room steward and she made up the room twice a day. She would make pillow "sculptures" that looked like waves and sailboats, and each night the towel animal was sporting my husband's sunglasses. She made us feel like we were the only ones she was taking care of.

We were scheduled for early seating dinner which turned out to be inconvenient for us as we were rarely ready to eat at that time. We will book a later seating next time. We did eat in the dining room on Formal night and the food was really good. They served beef tenderloin and it was cooked to order. The lobster bisque was good as was the cherries jubilee. The remaining nights we ate in the Windjammer and found it to be quite good. There were tablecloths on the tables, you were seated by the head waiter and bar service/wine service was available. Several nights featured a chef at a pasta bar and he would create pasta dishes in a "pick your ingredients and sauce" kind of way. It was VERY GOOD. The Windjammer was also not crowded so it offered a nice intimate setting for dinner.
