We took this same cruise two years ago and had such a wonderful time we decided to do it again to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I have to admit, I was a little concerned after reading reviews that were not the most positive. I shouldn't have worried, we found the cruise outstanding.
We had an hour drive into Brooklyn and arrived by 11:30. Embarkation was a breeze, we checked in quickly and were on the ship by 12:30. Made our reservations with Sabatini's for the following day, had a quick lunch and just enjoyed walking around the ship. Sailing out of NYC is breathtaking especially on such a sunny day as we had.
We were very lucky with this cruise enjoying great weather in all ports except for Saint John and that day was just overcast. We did not do any excursions this time, just walked off the ship in each port.
We had anytime dining and usually went into the Island Dining Room around 6:45. Since we enjoy having dinner at the larger tables, never More
really had to wait.
Attended a few of the later shows in the theater, never had a problem finding seats. Enjoyed the two comedians that performed. Never attended the piano bar area, found it much too crowded. Did Vines one afternoon, very pleasant. Especially enjoyed the Lobby Bar and the Piazza.
We found the meals in both the dining room and Horizon Court very good. Especially enjoyed the pizza. Dinner in Sabatini's was excellent. Our Room Steward was excellent, and any crew members we met were always very pleasant and helpful, especially the wait staff.
Disembarkation was one of the easiest ones we have experienced. Off the ship about 20 minutes later than posted and was able to locate our luggage easily. An hour later, we were home.
Overall I would say we had another great time on Princess and look forward to our next cruise. Less

Our most favorite port. Just walked up Main Street through town enjoying another beautiful day. Had some delicious Maine blueberry pie and enjoyed a lobster roll at Stewman's along with beautiful views before we returned to the ship.
Boston was very busy that day with a 10K run and roads closed due to the filming of a movie and some protesters. Made getting around the city a little slower than usual. Did the hop on-off trolley from the port and took a tour of the city. Went to the Observation Deck at the Prudential Building which gave you views and information of the entire city. Took another trolley back to the State House and just enjoyed walking around the entire area. And, of course, a cup of Boston Clam Chowder. Another trolley ride took us back to the ship.
Walked up to the Citadel in time to catch the "changing of the guard" and go on a tour which ended with the firing of the cannon at noon. Then walked back down to the waterfront and headed to the Maritime Museum. Did the tour of the ship Acadia which is included with admission and highly recommend that. Continued walking back to the ship along the waterfront.
Had a very warm, sunny day in Newport. Toured Rosecliff and then did the Cliff Walk. Took the local bus back into town for a quick lunch and then just enjoyed walking along the waterfront enjoying the great weather.
