To understand this review, you must know that we are die in the hard RCCL patrons. We LOVE RCCL.

We took the Disney 3 night cruise to the Bahamas to compare it to RCCL. We were very impressed with Disney, hands down, compared to RCCL.

We arrived in the Orlando airport, and were directed to check-in at the airport, not the ship terminal. The line was short, and we were in and out in 10 minutes. We dropped our luggage with a ship's crew on the sidewalk, boarded the Disney cruise bus, and in less than an hour we were at the terminal in Port Canaveral. It seemed like there were hundreds of fellow passengers in the terminal, but we found a seat.Disney brought out some characters, and as had no children with us, we simply walked on board. The children flocked to see Snow White. Our bags arrived timely in the early evening.

Cabin Review

Disney ship cabins are suite sized. Great space. Two bathrooms: a toilet with sink, and a 3 foot wide round shower/bath with sink. LOTS of drawer space and closet space. The balcony is the same size as Royal Caribbean's. The bed is raised off of the floor about 12 inches, so that you could easily store suit cases there. We REALLLLLLY loved our room. Surprisingly, the hallway noise from kids running down the ship was not too bad. We were midship on deck 7, and did not hear any outside noise or feel excessive shipboard movement. The room is VERY wide (measured from stateroom to stateroom, not door to balcony). Again, this is a suite for basically a standard room price. Very good and I highly recommend a Disney cruise.
