Ship Facts: Celebrity Century Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Century Deck Plans
Celebrity Century not for young
My husband and I wanted to give our youngest daughter and grandson a trip to Hawaii for their High School graduation. This was a BIG MISTAKE ! We flew to San Diego for departure . Getting on the ship was very slow. The machine to get our cards was broken , it was hot waiting to get on. When we got into our room it was "nice" The cabin attendant was great !

The food was good in the main dining room , the service was excellent. There wasn't much choice on the menu though Dessert was almost the same every night . The buffet didn't have much choice either. When we were on another cruise line ( Royal Caribbean ) there were choices. Even at night you could go to get a burger or pizza. But Century only had Pizza or sushi if you wanted a late night snack. (pizza only goes so far) Even if you wanted ice cream it closed at 9 p.m.

My husband ordered the soda package 6 months in advance and because the price was increased the kids didn't even get a cup ! They were supposed to get with the package.

I saw a total of maybe 10 kids on this cruise ! My daughter and grandson ( 18) another family had 2 kids and one girl said she was 15 . There was a teen center, don't think it was even used. Nothing was really set for kids. There was a lei class for a few days but you can only make a few of them.

The shows were ok , Not much announcements to let you know what was going on around the ship. Not many poolside activities either.

Our first stop was "supposed." to be in Hilo, never made it. We had to a "rescue at sea " so that stop was out. We were scheduled to do a sub ride and luau but that didn't happen. We did get to go snorkeling in Nawiliwili which the kids enjoyed.

The last day at sea we did a fast pace of 8 nautical miles an hour. We could have made our stop we missed and still made it to San Diego in time.

As for debarkation ....That was a joke. We were supposed to go down for immigration between 8: 45 and 9:15 . I heard that immigration came on board late but didn't let the passengers know so we waited in line for an hour and a half ! Some people didn't make their flights.

All in all....I was totally disappointed in this cruise and don't plan to use Celebrity ever again !
