*We arrived in Seattle three days prior to boarding and stayed at the Vintage Park Hotel, a small boutique hotel that was just right for us. We had their Town Car pick us up at the airport, which was reasonable for two of us. Wine and cheese every night and breakfast each morning was included in our package. We then had their Town Car service take four of us and all our luggage to the port. Good value. Great stay.
*Embarkation was smooth and we set off to introduce this ship to our traveling companions--first time cruisers. We had not been on the Infinity in five years, and I was expecting it to look more worn than it was.
*The menu was just what I expected having cruised the M-class ships many times before. Preparation was good except for our "medium rare" steak that turned out to be medium. They insisted that it was medium rare and offered to bring another, but we opted to eat what was served and it was still tasty. Our MDR servers (Tony and David) were also excellent. We did eat in the specialty restaurant on four occasions. I found it to be the best specialty I have encountered...same menu, best food preparation, best service. On the last sea day, the specialty restaurant offered a special lunch. We opted for this since we planned to miss dinner in the MDR in order to pack/organize. The lunch was exceptional, and I recommend that they continue this service.
