Oh my gosh. That was the best vacation I have ever had. But I am so worn out after doing so much. At the start of the trip we went through U.S. Customs. I got random searched by the woman who looked like the head gang leader at a woman's prison so I don't recommend that as the start of your trip but after that everything went well.

We had rain in Miami when we arrived and it was cool but still better than -37C and snow. We got to the hotel "Wyndham Miami Airport" and it was an okay hotel and not in a dangerous area but the service was the pits because they were supposed to have welcoming drinks and snacks through their Wyndham By Request free program but nothing was there. They didn't have internet access for me, as it was down, to write the kids so I had to use the TV internet which was so cumbersome. I just let them know we made it and that was it. We called to get our amenities and went to eat and they didn't serve supper til late so the restaurant was still closed and we were starving and no food close by.

Day 1 -- The next day we got up to a sunny day. We went to the pier terminal by taxi picking up two cases of 12 cans of pop for drinks. We got there about 11:15 a.m. and paid the pier porters to take our luggage. The lineup for getting our seapasses was pretty well moving okay but there was a big delay with the disembarkation process of the previous cruisers so we knew that it was going to be a while til we got on the ship. I can't say that I was gagged at Royal Caribbean because it all has to do with U.S. customs and they don't care when you get on/off. We were on the ship by 12:45 p.m. and it didn't seem that long so we just went straight to our rooms (supposed to be ready by 1 p.m.) and it was already ready. Anthony our stateroom attendant was really on the job. We dropped off our stuff and started to explore the ship which was huge and grand. The details of style on the ship were fabulous. It was eye candy for sure. You see the pictures but it just does not do it justice and when compared to details seen in port on other lines I have to say that it is top of the line.
